If your sofa's covers are worn, faded, or just ready for a refresh, simply send us your existing covers. We use them as a precise template to make you a perfect new set in the fabric of your choice. When they arrive back, they'll fit like a glove — because they were made from your actual covers, not guessed from a standard pattern.

How it works:

  2. Place your order by phone or online
  3. We arrange collection of your old covers
  4. We make your new covers — usually within 2–3 weeks
  5. We post them back, ready to fit

Will my covers work as a template even if they're worn?
In most cases, yes. As long as the fabric is reasonably intact and holds its shape, we can work from them. If we need a couple of extra measurements, we'll simply ask — it only takes a few minutes on the phone.

Tailor Made — Full Home Visit

The Complete White-Glove Service

Paul visits your home to take precise measurements and templates directly from your furniture — not from a standard chart. A couple of weeks later, he returns to fit your beautiful new covers. We can also arrange to collect your furniture and bring it to our workroom if you prefer.

This service produces results that customers regularly describe as indistinguishable from full re-upholstery. It's the right choice for complex shapes, antique pieces, or simply anyone who wants the full personal service.

Best for: Unusual shapes, antique or valuable furniture, corner sofas, and customers who want a perfect fit guaranteed.

Best Value for Simpler Shapes

We send you a simple, clear measurement chart tailored to your type of furniture. You fill it in at home — usually around 20–30 minutes — send it back, and we make your covers from your measurements.

This is our most affordable option and works well for more standard-shaped sofas and armchairs. Not sure if your sofa qualifies? Just call us — we'll tell you honestly.

Best for: Straightforward-shaped furniture where the customer is happy to take a few measurements and save money in the process.

Loose Covers vs Re-Upholstery — Which Do You Need?

When Loose Covers Are the Right Choice

For most sofas in most situations, loose covers are the better option. They're the right choice when:

  • The sofa's frame is solid and in good condition
  • The padding is reasonable — not completely flat
  • You want to change the fabric or colour
  • You'd like covers you can remove and wash
  • You want excellent value without sacrificing quality

A well-made loose cover, tailored properly to your sofa, is almost indistinguishable from re-upholstery. Many of our customers tell us their visitors don't believe the sofa hasn't been fully re-upholstered.

When Re-Upholstery Makes More Sense

Re-upholstery is the better choice when:

  • The frame is damaged, wobbly, or has broken springs
  • The padding has completely broken down
  • The piece is an antique deserving full restoration
  • The existing fabric is fixed (not removable) and badly damaged underneath

We'll always give you an honest answer. If your sofa needs re-upholstery, we'll tell you — we'd rather give you the right advice than take an order that won't serve you well.
